Janet B. Vaughan, 63 of Walton passed away unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, May 17, 2006, in Delaware Valley Hospital.

Janet was born on August 3, 1942 in Sharon, Connecticut , the daughter of the late Hubert and Hazel Ahern Rundall. She was employed for many years as the head cook at the Green Briar Adult Home, Millbrook. She married Kenneth "Pappy" Vaughan on September 20, 1990.

Janet will be remembered as a friendly caring lady who always had a smile on her face. She loved to play bingo, collect knick-knacks, thimbles, teapots, cookie jars, and visit with her friends and family.

Janet is survived by her husband, Pappy, 11 children, Elin and Richard Liverani, Indian Springs, NV; David and Tatyana Bailey, Germany; Lucy Ackerman, Copake; Timothy and Gloria Bailey, Texas; Mansel and Nancy Bailey, Delaware; Roma and Kelly Bailey, Plattsburgh, Melissa and Randy Smith, Millerton, Carmen and Bruce Petty, Dover Plains, Joseph and Debbie Bender, North Carolina; Valerie Murphy and her fiancé, Gary; Mark and Jessica Bailey, Pine Plains, 2 brothers, David and John Rundall, 26 grandchildren, 3 great grand children, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister, Peggy Rundall.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Friday evening, May 19, 2006 from 7 to 9 PM at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, Walton where services will be held on Saturday morning at 11 AM with the Rev. Jennifer Matison Juliano, officiating. Burial will be in Dover Plains Cemetery.
