Jean Marie Johnson Constable, 75, of Walton passed away January 20, 2016 at home surrounded by her family following a brave battle with cancer.

Jean was born on June 27, 1940 in Andes, NY, the daughter of the late Leonard and Jane (Reynolds) Johnson. She graduated from Downsville Central School, Class of 1958. On November 12, 1960 she married Harry J. (Skip) Constable.

Jean was a dental hygienist for Dr. Bush and worked for Delaware County for 22 years before retiring. She loved spending time with her family, especially long drives with her husband. She loved to bake, knit, crochet, sew, read and was an excellent creative writer. She enjoyed traveling, caring for her many plants and taking walks everywhere.

Jean is survived by her loving family, husband, Harry (Skip), children, Suzanne (Vern) Hartman of Tannersville; Sharon (John) Waters of Saugerties; Burt (Brittany) Constable of Walton; Michael (Jennifer) Constable of Hamden; grandchildren, Molly, Rachel, Kristin, Kelly, Eric, Chad, Curtis, Kyle, Chasidy, Jacob, Kylie, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, brother, Robert Johnson, sister, Florence Liebsock and grandson, Harrison Jacob Constable.

A graveside service will be held in the spring. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton. Memorial contributions in Jean's memory may be made to Riverside Alliance Church, 110 Stockton Ave., Walton, NY 13856.
