M. Jean McClenon, 80, of Oxbow Hollow, passed away Sunday morning, March 14, 2010 at Wilson Memorial Hospital of Johnson City, following a short illness.
Jean was born on July 7, 1929 in Middlesex, NJ; the daughter of the late Walter and Marie (Johnson) Doyle. She married Olin McClenon on January 19, 1947 at Beerston. He died in 1982. She was employed for many years at the Del-Met Corp., Walton. Jean was a member of the Walton American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Hamden Senior Citizens, many bowling leagues and Christ Episcopal Church, Walton.
Jean adored her grand and great-grandkids, always attending their parties. She also enjoyed immensely, watching Walt's racing at Five Mile Point Raceway in Kirkwood.
Jean is survived by three daughters: Mary Jean (Albert) DeVaul, Kathy (Paul) Stanton, and Susan McClenon, all of Walton; three sons: Pat (Mickey) McClenon of Downsville; Robert McClenon of Walton; Walter (Rhonda) McClenon of Walton, grandkids, Patricia, Gabriel, Alexa, Michaelia, Shana, Spencer, Kady Jean, Alethea, Christopher, Russell, Aislinn, Phillip, Leslie, Victoria, David, and Molly, 18 great-grandchildren, sister, Frances Truman, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 2 sons, Michael and David and 2 brothers, Walter and Robert.
A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the Courtney Funeral Home, Walton with the Rev. R.L. Donahue, officiating. Burial will be in Walton Cemetery.
