Jeanette MacDonald, 92 a lifelong resident of Walton, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Rena Coulter MacDonald.

Jeanette and her brother, Carl lived on the farm on East River Road for many years. In 2002 they sold the farm and moved to the Village of Walton. Carl died in May 2008.

Jeannette was first employed by Newberry's store on Delaware Street and then for the Lane family drug store. When the pharmacy was sold to Bill Hastings she continued to work there. She retired after 49 years.

She was a faithful member of the United Presbyterian Church. She has been a confirmed member since June 30, 1935. She served as treasurer for 18 years and was given an Honorary Life Membership award for her years of service. She has also been a volunteer at the Delaware Valley Hospital gift shop for many years.

Jeannette appreciated the many friends that she made over the years and was thankful for them.

Jeanette is survived by several cousins and many special friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday morning, July 3, 2015 at 11 AM at the United Presbyterian Church, corner of East and North streets with the Rev. Dr. Lisa Ruth Mays, officiating. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
