Surrounded by family and friends, Jeanne Helen Van Buren, crossed over into eternal life with the Lord on Saturday, May 27, 2006.

Jeanne was born in Port Jefferson, L.I., July 4, 1929; the daughter of the late John K. and Maryjane Carpenter Herron.

Jeanne was predeceased by her loving husband, Harvey in 1996, as well as her brothers, John Allen, George, Roy, and Julian; and her sister, Mary Elizabeth Browne.

She is survived by her children, Harvey Van Buren, Jeanne Van Buren-Pejo ( Dr. Sam Pejo), and Teresa Dolph (Bruce Dolph), along with her grandchildren, J. Andrew, Matthew, Tanner, and Trevor. Surviving brothers and sisters are Jack (Millie), James(Dorothy), Robert (Mildred), Catherine Papastrat, Elizabeth Coutant, and William (Jean), sisters' in law, Evelyn Van Buren, Linda Marshall, Amanda Robinson, and Elaine Herron, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her kitty, "Princess" will miss her.

Jeanne loved her work and co-workers at the Walton Big M, where she was employed for many years.

At Jeanne's request there will be no calling hours or funeral, but she welcomes your prayers. Private graveside services were held at the Walton Cemetery, by her children and Pastor Donald Crossman. She will be dearly remembered by all who love her.
