Jimmie D. Finch, age 93, of Walton, passed away on Saturday September 14, 2024, at A.O. Fox Nursing Home in Oneonta, NY.

Jimmie was born in Gordensville, TX to William Rodgers and Delia Kelley.

She was preceded in death by William Rodgers (Father), Delia Kelley (Mother), her first husband Donald Hunt in 1980, second husband Howard Finch in 2022 a son William Hunt and brothers Wayne Rodgers and Ronnie Rodgers.

Jimmie retired from Delhi Telephone Company where she worked as an operator. She was previously employed be the Walton Reporter, and as a Walton school bus driver.

Jimmie enjoyed gardening, quilting, and canning.

Jimmie is survived by sons Michael (Jean) Hunt, Jim Hunt and Ann Gregory of Bainbridge, a brother Don Rodgers of Arizona and sister Glenna (Bill) Karl of Florida.  Grandchildren Justin (Jennifer) Westcott, Trevor (Melinda) Westcott, Elizabeth Hunt and Skyler Hunt. Great grandchildren Jillian (Caleb) Dana, Riley Westcott; Lylah, Keansey and Maura Westcott; Brynlee, Brystal and Brielle Hunt.

Graveside service will be private in Walton Cemetery with Pastor Rev. Robert Wilkie officiating.

Courtney Funeral Home 25 Townsend Street Walton, NY 13856 is assisting the family.
