Obituary

Joan M. Arcuri, 72 of Trout Creek, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 1, 2006, in A.O. Fox Hospital Oneonta, after a short illness.

Joan was born in Jersey City, NJ, the daughter of the late John and Rose Rapp Haase, on January 25, 1934. She was a graduate of Holy Family High School in Union City, NJ. Joan was employed as a waitress for 34 years at the Holiday Inn of North Bergen. On September 12, 1982 she married Nicholas Arcuri in North Bergen, NJ.

Joan was a talented lady with her crafts and flowers, and won ribbons at the Delaware County Fair for her pickles and rhubarb jellie. She was a member of the Trout Creek Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, and the American Legion, Guntown Post Ladies Auxiliary.

Joan is survived by her loving husband, Nick; 2 sons, George L. ( Wilma) Dillon of Carteret, NJ; John R. "Jack" (Cheryl) Dillon, North Bergen, NJ; a daughter, Denise Hoehl, Masonville, 5 grandchildren, Tina, Michael, Amanda, Shannon, Katie, 4 great grandchildren, Tyler James, Connor Robert, Juan Carlos "JC", and Jayden; stepchildren, Nicholas Arcuri, Dominick Arcuri, both of Secaucus, NJ; Linda (Tom) Masselli, North Carolina; a step grandson, Dominick Robert, several nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, John Haase.

Friends and relatives are invited to call at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St. Walton, on Saturday morning, November 4, 2006, from 10 to 12 AM where services will be held at 12 noon. Burial will be in Carroll Cemetery, Trout Creek.
