Joan M. Ennis, 75, of Walton, passed away on Tuesday evening, March 18, 2008 at her home following a long illness.

Joan was born in Flushing, Queens on July 13, 1932 the daughter of the late Mathew and Bertha B. (Sluker) Harasti.

Joan lived in Hartwick for several years until moving to Walton to be near her son. She was a homemaker. Joan was a member of the 1st Congregational Church in Hartwick, and the Red Hats of the Salvation Army in Oneonta. She enjoyed helping animals and was a supporter of the Humane Society and the SPCA.

She is survived by her son: Robert (Bonnie Mason) Kafarski; special friends: PJ Mason, Peter Mason, Diana Bojo, Ralph Archer and Tonia Beers.

Funeral services will be held at a date and time to be announced by the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, NY. Burial will take place at Walton Cemetery.
