Joan A. Laauser, 67 a life long resident of Walton, passed away Sunday morning, November 2, 2008 in Delaware Valley Hospital, after a long illness.

Joan was born in Rock Rift, the daughter of the late June and Ella (Tompkins) Winfield. She was a graduate of Walton Central School, class of 1959. On June 2, 1968 she married Paul A. Laauser Jr in Walton. Joan was employed at Scott Machine Development Corp. for many years.

Joan was a member of New Hope Community Church. She enjoyed BINGO, bowling, growing flowers and decorating her home for Christmas.

Joan is survived by her husband, Paul, one daughter: Gina (Jan) Gorshack, Sidney; one son, Brian (Sally) Laauser, Walton; 7 grandchildren, Anthony, Kyle, Joseph, Taylor, Samantha, Jonathon, Nathan, one great grand-daughter, Mackenzie; 2 sisiters, Janice Miller, Delhi; F. Jane (Walter) Reynolds, Trout Creek, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the New Hope Community Church where services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 1 PM with the Rev. Larry Light, officiating. Following the service family and friends are invited to a fellowship lucheon in the Harby Center.
