IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joan Diane
Neale
January 8, 1954 – December 20, 2023
Joan Diane Neale, 69, of Walton, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side December 20th at Albany Medical Center, Albany.
Born on January 8, 1954, in Ransomville, New York, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Bevins) Kilmer.
She is survived by her husband Russell, two daughters Kellee (Kenneth) Wagner and Margaret Neale, as well as one son William (Jacquelyn) Neale. Her two granddaughters that she loved relentlessly, Annabelle and Evangeline Wagner. Her siblings, Patricia Cieluszak, Raymond (Mary) Kilmer, Judy (Bert) Beardslee, Timothy (Wendy) Kilmer, Laurie (Ann) Kilmer, and Thomas Kilmer. As well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, well as her twin sister Jean Gorga and sister Catherine.
Joan graduated from O'Neill High School in Walton in 1973. On March 9, 1974 she married the love of her life, Russell.
Joan dedicated herself to her family as family was everything to her. She was very proud of her children and always bragged about all the many things they were doing in their lives. She was so happy that her oldest daughter was a teacher and that she was teaching and caring for the next generation. She was proud of her second daughter and her extremely strong work ethic and heart for others in need. She loved going to her son's football games when he was in school and then going to the games of the students he coached, when he became a teacher. Her granddaughters were an absolute joy to her life. She was so excited when each of them were born and loved caring for them. Going to see Nana was something both girls looked forward to.
Joan will be most remembered for her servant's heart. She selflessly gave of herself to her family, friends, and even strangers. She faced life with a smile and a positive attitude. Though she seemed meek, she had an immense inner strength that would move mountains. Her faith in Jesus Christ was abundant and unwavering even in the darkest times.
