John Bofelos, 65, of Masonville passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at home, following a long illness.

John was born on November 20, 1952 in Yonkers, the son of the late Eris and Anna (Diamantidis) Bofelos. On February 26, 1972 he married the former Patricia Henderson in West Milford, NJ. John was employed by Mirabito as a Service Tech for many years and drove tractor trailer for many years. He then drove schoolbus for for the Sidney School District. He was a member of the Pedal Steel Guitar Association. He also enjoyed, when time permitted, playing guitar.

John is survived by his loving family, his wife, Patty, his children, Eris "Eddie" Bofelos, Angela (Kyle) James of Masonville, Teisha (Albert) Bofelos-Mason of Walton, Joe Bolster of Laurens, Anthony Albro of Sidney, grandchildren, Justin, Nick, Samantha, Katelyn, Natalia, William Jr., Savannah, Logan, Dominic, Lacey, Joseph, Jr., Cecelia, great grandchildren, Isabella, Emma, sisters, Mala Carrozza of NJ, Tina and Andy Venetis of LI, brother and sister in law, Michael and Diane Henderson, special nephew and nieces, Nitse, Vincent and Theo Carrozza, Frankie and Chrissy Bofelos, and Christina Bofelos, special friend, Bobby Bird, Charlie and Diane Swuart and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Michael Bofelos and his brother, Gus Bofelos.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 3 to 5 PM at Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where services will be held at 5 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to defray the families expenses.
