John Henry Cobane gained his wings unexpectedly on May 17th, 2024.  He was born on February 28th, 1965 to the late Wayne Cobane and Margaret Beardslee in Tacoma, Washington.  After 25 years of partnership, he married the love of his life, Cindy Donaldson(Dean) on December 20th, 2013.

John was a devoted and loving family man, neighbor, friend, and animal lover.  Known as "Poppy" and "Poppa John", he cherished spending time with his grandchildren and grandpuppy throughout the years. He was known for his contagious smile and uplifting attitude towards life.  John was a kind, generous man that would jump at the chance to help anyone.  At any gathering, he was the only one found with what seemed a never-ending mountainous plate of food.

John was predeceased by his father, Wayne Cobane, grandson, Gavin Wood, father-in-law, William Dean Sr., and mother-in-law Shirley Dean(Hafele).

He will be remembered and missed by his loving wife, Cindy Donaldson-Cobane; children: Jeremy Dean(Tracy), Tanya Ryan, John Donaldson Jr.(Lisa), Adrianna Ingle; grandchildren: Hunter Goodrich(Baylee), Jarrett Wood(Dakota), Katie Dean, Bryden Wood, Ian Donaldson, Roxy Ingle(Moon), Jay Pettit, Jewel Pettit, Logan Dean, Serenity Donaldson, Lucian Donaldson; great-granddaughter, Maci Goodrich; and grandpuppy Porkchop. John also leaves behind his mother, Margaret Cobane; brothers: David Cobane(Julie), Tim Cobane(Nancy), Tom Cobane(Shannon); his loving sister, Kelly Kole(Greg); doting nieces: Sara Morrison(Chris) and Stephanie Kole, as well as many more nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be determined and announced at a later date.
