John L. Eskow, Jr., 72, of Walton passed from this life on Sunday morning, July 31, 2016 at home, with his family.

John was born on August 6, 1943 in Warren, Ohio, son of the late John L. and Ann (Perkins) Eskow, Sr.. On November 27, 1976 he married the former Janice Argetsinger in Owego, New York.

John was a trucker owning and operating Eskow Trucking. He was a member of the Abundant Life Church Delhi, where he served on the church council, and a former member of the Deposit Flying Club.

John is survived by his loving family, his wife, Janice, his children, Jennifer (Peter) Aziaka, South Elgin, IL; Dr. Karen (Brandon) Jaunarajs, Odenville, AL; Jonathan Eskow, Walton, NY; grandchildren, Maxwell, Asa, Asher, his brother, Michael (Margaret "Janie") Eskow of Federalsburg, MD; his sister, Nancy Sheets of Norwich, NY; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 11AM to 1PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where service will be held at 1PM with Pastor Tom Formica, officiating. Burial will follow in the Walton Cemetery, Walton.
