Obituary

John P. "Jack" Harrigan, 76, of Walton passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2015, with his family by his side following a short illness.

Jack was born on March 29, 1938 in Hicksville, N.Y., the son of the late John and Maria (Danhardt) Harrigan. On June 4, 1983 he married the former Jeanette Maxwell.

Jack was the proud owner and operator of the Rainbow Lodge Restaurant, a popular restaurant and banquet facility in Walton for the last 30 years. Jack enjoyed taking his grandchildren to the Delaware County Fair and was an avid outdoorsman. His love of the outdoors included hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and four wheeling with his family and many friends. Jack loved his dogs Buddy and Muffin who could always be found by his side. Jack was a loving father and dedicated friend. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Jack is survived by his loving family, his wife, Jeanette Harrigan, his daughter, Eileen Harrigan of Miami, Florida; his sons and daughter in law, Jay Harrigan of Miami, FL; Danny and Joann Harrigan of Deer Park, NY; Bobby Pagano of Massapequa, NY; his grandchildren, John, Jennifer, and Daniel. He was predeceased by his brothers, Jimmy and David.

Friends and family are invited to call on Wednesday January 7, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Saint John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 25 Benton Avenue, Walton, NY with Rev. Edward J Golding, celebrant.
