John R. "Randy" Kerschner, 61, of Downsville passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at home in Downsville.

Randy was born on April 10, 1961 in Walton the son of the late Stanley O and Beulah M (Schreier) Kerschner. He graduated from Walton High School, class of 1978. He was married to Rose Dunshee, who predeceased him.

John was a self-employed mason in Downsville and Walton area, for many years. He was a big old hippie who loved fishing, listening to rock music, collecting antiques, and working with rock and stone. He was very free spirited and loved the outdoors.

Randy is survived by his loving family, his sisters, Tina Kerschner of Downsville; Sandra Rieman of Walton; brother, Glenn Kerschner of MD; special lifelong friends who was like a brothers, Scott Hall of Gregorytown, Sherman Foote of Gregorytown, Wayne Knorr of Downsville and a very special friend who was like a nephew , Jesse Barsch of Downsville, and several nieces, Tara l Brooker (Larry kern) of Sidney , Ashley Brooker (George Nash) of Walton, Melissa Tschuschke, Mary Rieman, nephew, Billie Rieman also great nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Jasmine, Hayden, and Isabella who he loved beyond words and many cousins and other amazing friends. He was predeceased by his wife, newborn son, and brother, Stanley Kerschner, Jr.

Funeral will be at a date, time and place to be announced. Arrangements are under the direction of the Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
