John J. Ladd Sr, 55 of Walton, passed away Friday afternoon September 2, 2005 in Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, after a short illness.

John was born in Rockaway Beach, on September 14, 1949, the son of the late Richard and Joy McGregor Ladd. On October 27, 1974 he married the former Mary Kavanaugh at Rockaway Beach. He was employed as a Maintainence Aide by Delaware County.

He is survived by his wife: Mary Ladd, one son: John J. Ladd Jr. and his wife Suzan, of Virginia Beach, VA, three sisters: Diane Rasch,and Laura Bogoni, both of Walton, Annie Van Loan of Pennsylvania; 2 brothers, Michael C. Ladd,of Rockaway Beach, and Richard T. Ladd, of Ohio; 1 granddaughter, Samantha L. Ladd, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects on Sunday afternoon, September 4, 2005 from 4 to 6 PM at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, where services will be held at 6 pm with the Rev. Mark J. Del Giudice, officiating.
