John O'Keeffe, 53 of Margaretville, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, December 19, 2008 in Walton.

John was born in the Bronx on September 18, 1955 the son of the late James O'Keeffe and Joan (Hagen) Spatadafino. He was employed for many years at Con Edison, Queens as a mechanic, retiring due to ill health. He attended St. John the Baptist Church, Walton.

John is survived by his daughter, Danielle O'Keeffe, Poughkeepsie, a son Jonpaul O'Keeffe, Margaretville, the mother of his children, Celeste O'Keeffe, Walton, his mother, Joan Spatadafino; brother, James (Patti) O'Keeffe, New Jersey, sister, Maddie (Ed) Oakman, Vermont; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, James.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday morning, December 23, 2008 at 10:00 am at Saint John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 25 Benton Avenue, Walton with the Rev. Matthew H. Frisoni, officiating.
