John F. Robinson, 59, a lifelong resident of Walton, passed away at his home unexpectedly Saturday morning, April 26, 2008

John was born on June 28, 1948 in Walton, the son of the late Leon and Agnes (Shaw) Robinson. He was a graduate of Walton High School and later attended college.

He owned and operated Robinson's Pav-Way Company in Walton for nearly 40 years.

John was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing the local rivers, streams and reservoirs. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Florida, Club Royal Oasis in Walton, and the Walton Post of the Sons of the American Legion. John also enjoyed wintering in Florida.

Mr. Robinson is survived by his companion of over 30 years, Gay Bowker of Walton, her son Timothy Bowker of Walton and his children Katherine and Garrett of Florida; an uncle, Donald Ostrander of Florida; a nephew, Timothy Robinson of Great Bend, PA; a niece, Holly Sherwood of New Milford, PA ; cousins: Micky and Sally; and several friends.

He was predeceased by his brothers Thomas and Timothy Robinson.

Friends and relatives are invited to call Saturday, May 3, 2008 from 2 to 4 PM at Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, where a memorial service will follow at 4 PM with the Rev. Mark DelGiudice officiating.
