John C. Voorhees, 72, of Downsville passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, NY.

John was born June 17, 1942 in Stelton, NJ the son of the late Charles Norman and Ethel Mae (Campbell) Voorhees. On June 25, 1988 he married the former Charlotte Peck.

John was employed in the Maintenance department at Countryside Care Center in Delhi, NY. He enjoyed trains and building small working steam engines.

John is survived by his loving family, his wife, Charlotte, his step son, Paul Petrosky of Connecticut; his step daughter, Tonijo (Michael) Davis of Hamden; and his 11 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Voorhees, and his sisters, Millie Wahl and Shirley Peters.

Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
