Obituary

John P. Wall, 70, of Walton passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the Albany VA Hospital in Albany, following a long illness.

John was born on January 18, 1943 in Milwaukee, Minnesota, the son of the late Jack and Marrian Wall. He was educated in Milwaukee schools and received a degree in mortuary science. He married the former Joyce Coger on March 13, 1971 in Liberty. .

John was last employed by the Green Thumb in Delhi. He drove cattle truck, produce truck, and ran for Mayor. He proudly served his country in the US Navy aboard the USS Mount McKinley and later the National Guard and Walton Lions Club. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, going for joy rides, making key chains and incense. He would help anyone out if they needed it.

John is survived by his loving family, his wife Joyce, his children, Frederick (Pat) Hatfield of Walton; Tammy (Alex) Santana of Conn., Diana(Russell) McClenon of Walton; his grandchildren, Connie and Miguel Cardoza of Norwich; Robert (Teresa) Bush of Edmeston; Carol McClenon, his great grandchildren, Michael, Brandon, Robert, Ashley, Caleb.

An interment will be held in the Woodlawn National Cemetery, Elmira, at a date and time to be announced. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
