It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jon B. MacNeill, 71 of Walton NY on January 15, 2026. Jon was the son of Art and Joyce MacNeill.

Jon was a jack of all trades whether it be electrical, construction, carpentry or a variety of other skills. He always made time to help his friends with their projects. He was tough, talented, cantankerous and kindhearted. His dry wit and infectious laugh will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Jon enjoyed hunting, camping and spending his vacation time in the Adirondacks. He took immense pleasure in watching his children's and grandchildren's athletic endeavors; especially football and wrestling.

Jon is survived by his beloved family, Wife Nancy; his children Chris (Sarah) MacNeill and Jessica MacNeill; grandchildren Cale, Jeremy and Jack; his siblings Peg MacNeill, Bill (Sue) MacNeill, Dan (Sherrie) MacNeill: many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jon was preceded in death by his parents Art and Joyce MacNeill.

Jon will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him; particularly his gang at TAs and lifelong friends Al MacGibbon, Tim Neale and the Neale family.

As per Jon's wishes there will be no services.

His family is planning a celebration of life in the spring.
