Joseph Frank Fiedler Sr, 79 passed away Sunday

January 21, 2024 at home in Elmira, NY following a long illness. Joe was born

August 25, 1944 at home in Jersey City, NJ to Bernard F Fiedler and Josephine C

Henning. Beloved husband of 35 yrs to Nora Coleman Fiedler. They met and married

in 1988 in Long Beach, CA. Moved to Walton NY in 1989 where he was a long time

resident, he befriended everyone he met. Joe was a man with a huge heart that would

not only tell you his whole life story within minutes of meeting you and would give the

shirt off his back just as quickly. They moved to Elmira , NY in 2019.

He enjoyed being a truck driver, security guard at the Weehawken Roller rink, bowling,

cooking, carpentry and construction, family reunions. He was a volunteer firefighter in

Upper Greenwood Lake, NY. He was raised in Hoboken, NJ, he met his first wife

Karen Engel Blasso and married in 1966 Union City, NJ, mother to his 4 children

Linda Hernandez, Stacey Scudder, Joseph Fiedler Jr, Douglas Fiedler where they lived

in Jersey City, Weehawken, North Bergen and Greenwood Lake.

His step children Nora Witherow(Kevin), Julie Manfrede(Mark), and William

Foster(Randall). 3 brothers Kenneth Fielder(Ann), Lawrence Fiedler(Florence) and

Thomas Fiedler(Geri), his sister in laws Evelyn Fiedler and Paula Fiedler. 4

grandchildren Shaelei Fres, Christian Jerke Stumpp, Michael Higgins II(Anna),

Meagan Higgins, 6 step grandchildren Nora Garcia Edkin(Mike), Elizabeth

Lindsay(Jordan), Tiler Hernandez, Kayla Manfrede, Sean Wright, Charles Wright II.

5 greatgrandchildren Michael Higgins III, Adriannah Higgins, Lily Higgins, Zach

Higgins Rettkowski , Ryan Higgins , 4 stepgreatgranchildren Phade Lindsay, Darrius

Lindsay, Cherish Morrisey and Aron Garcia Northup and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased: brothers Robert Fiedler, Bernard Fiedler, sister Janice Hodoravych Foley.

His wish was to be cremated and a Celebration of life will be held at a later time
