Joseph D. Panioli, 64, of Walton passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015 at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, following a sudden illness.

Joe was born on June 21, 1950 in Walton, the son of the late David and Janet (Shields) Panioli.

He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy Seabees. On August 28, 1971 he married the former Susan O'Dell at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Downsville, where he served as an Altar Boy for many years.

Joe was a Watershed Tech for the DEP in Downsville. He was a member of NYS Pistol Association, National Wild Turkey Federation, NRA, and the Walton Cruisers. He enjoyed going to car shows, hunting, fishing, and target shooting.

Joe is survived by his loving family, his wife, Susan, his daughter Amy Panioli of Atlanta, GA; his sister, Marlene Johnson, his father in law, Leroy O'Dell of Oxford, NY; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, his mother in law, Georgianna O'Dell and his sister, Linda Panioli.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 5 to 7 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where services will be held on Friday afternoon, May 29, 2015 at 1 PM with Rev. R. L. Donahue, officiating. Burial will follow in Paige Cemetery.
