Joyce W. Fitch, 80, of Walton passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Delhi Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Joyce was born July 10, 1937 in Kerryville, NY the daughter of the late Earl and Jennie (Barnhart) Wood. On September 12, 1953 she married Eben L. Fitch at the United Presbyterian Church. He died on July 19, 2011.

Joyce was a Farmwife on the Fitch Family Farm in Walton. She loved the farm life and all it had to offer her and her family. She enjoyed gardening, camping, going on picnics, canning, playing pinocle, puzzle books, making homemade pies, and sauces.

Joyce is survived by her loving family, her children, Milton (Melora) Fitch, Ken Fitch, grandchildren, Tammy and Del Bert Van Dyke, Wayne and Julie Fitch, Debra and Jim Turner, Scott Fitch, Ken Fitch, Jr., William and Shona Fitch, Richard Smith, 9 great grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brothers, Earl and Ellie Wood of Walton; Donald and Chris Wood of Unadilla; sisters, Gert Fitch of Walton; Georgiana McCall, Jean Gardepe of Walton; Margaret Robinson of Walton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, son, Eben "Butch" Fitch, sister, Shery Smith, and daughter in laws, Verna and Linda Fitch.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 2PM to 4PM at Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton, New York 13856. A graveside service will be held in the spring in the Walton Cemetery.
