Joyce Gould, 85 of Walton, passed away Monday afternoon, December 11, 2006, in the Countryside Care Center, Delhi.

Joyce was born in the town of Colchester, the daughter of the late Amos and Alice Osterhout Howe, on January 11, 1921. She was a graduate of Downsville Central School, class of 1938.

She was employed for many years as a cashier by Walton Big M. Joyce loved to read, and talk on the telephone with her friends.

She is survived by a son, Orea "Jerry" Brown and his wife, Thelma, Walton; 2 grandchildren, Mike Brown, Walton: Daniel Brown, Green, 1 great grand child and several cousins. She was predeceased by 2 husbands, Robert Brown in 1949 and Mike Gould in 1972; and a son, Ronald D. Brown in 1966.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 14, 2006 in the Paige Cemetery, Downsville, with the Rev. Mark Del Giudice, officiating. There are no calling hours.
