Joyce M. Seward, 69 of Sidney, NY, passed away Tuesday afternnon in the Fox Hospital, Oneonta, after a long illness.

Joyce was born in Walton, on September 30, 1939 the daughter of the late Roderick and Freda (Darling) Seward. She was a long time member of Plymouth Church and its Ladies Guild. She loved to cook and help out at the church dinners.

Joyce is survived by a son, Christopher (Melissa) Hope, Little Falls, 7 grandchildren, Kaylee, Kyrah, Karyssa, McKenna Hope, Adelbert, Austin and Ammity Cleveland, brother, Aaron (Connie) Seward, South New Berlin; sister Eileen Seward, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter, Jennifer Hope in 2007 and brothers, George and Eugene.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Sunday, June 7, 2009 from 12 to 3 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, where services will be held at 3 PM with Pastor Tom Davis, officiating. Burial will take place in Walton Cemetery at a later date.
