Julie Kaye Condon, 48, of Walton passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at home surrounded by love with her family.

Julie was born on July 18, 1968 in Delhi, the daughter of the late Meltheor Hitt and Vivian Marie Storrer Hitt Miller. On June 6, 1992 she married Steve Condon in Walton.

Julie was a Licensed Teaching Assistant at BOCES in Masonville for many years. Julie will be remembered as a sensitive lady who was always concerned of others' wellbeing. She always remembered birthdays, anniversaries and other important dates of her family and friends. Whenever visiting family and friends she always brought a gift of food. She loved working with young people, especially her students. She enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, walking, and running every chance she got. . Proud to be one of 15, she loved her family and understood how important family is. She learned this from her mom, Vivian and it also became a big part of her life.

Julie is survived by her loving family, her husband, Steve, her son, Owen, brothers and sisters, Fred (Deb) Hitt of Walton; Tim (Lorraine) Hitt of Walton; Terry (Shawn) Hitt of Boonville; Rob (Sandy) Hitt of Boonville; Melanie Watson of Walton; Steve (Kelly) Hitt of North Brookfield, MA; Lisa Pierce of Walton; Kitty (Jim) Smith of Norfolk, NY; Tricia (SJ) Jackson of Anderson, SC; Betsy (Arnie) Drumm of Sidney Center; Kristy (Davey) Kotorman of Clayton, NC; Wendy (Mike) Layton of Sidney Center; Lacey (Cecil) Davis of Delhi; mother in law, Nancy Condon of Walton; brothers and sisters in law, Michael and Margaret Condon, Deborah and Robert Babcock, Tom and Melissa Condon, Joe and Chrissy Condon, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Ed Hitt, brother in law, Dave Watson, and father in law, Ronald Condon.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where services will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 11 AM with the Rev. Bert More, officiating. Burial will follow in the Walton Cemetery.

Members of the Walton Fire Dept. are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 5:45 PM for a "Walk Through" at 6PM, to pay their respects to the Condon and Hitt families.
