Obituary

Justin D. "Craiger" Craig, 22 of Walton, died early Saturday morning, September 23, 2006, as a result of a motor vehicle accident in the town of Butternuts.

Justin was born in Walton on May 16, 1984 the son of Stephen and Bonnita "Bonnie" Utter Craig. He was a graduate of Walton Central School class of 2003. While in school he ran track and played football. He was also a member of the Walton FFA.

He was employed first at Ultra Dairy, Delhi, then worked for Nelson's Tree Service as a trimmer. He was a member of I.B.E.W Local # 94, and the Maywood Snowmobile Club. Justin's first love though was farming. He and his best friend, Issacc Johnson of Otego had planned on being partners on their own farm. Issacc proclaimed Craiger "the best partner he ever had." Justin also loved to ride his motorcycle and snowmobile.

He is survived by his parents, Steve and Bonnie, at home; his grandmother, Louise Craig, Unadilla; a brother, Jason Craig of Walton, a sister, Jaime (Jeff) Butts, Suffolk, Virginia; his "Soul Mate", Cherish Nocella, Downsville, his Surrogate parents, the Elmer & Anne Johnson family, Otego; 1 nephew, A.J. Butts, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Monday evening, September 25, 2006 at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, Walton from 6 to 8 PM, where services will be held on Tuesday morning at 11 AM with the Rev. Bert More, officiating. Memorial contributions in Justin's memory may be made to the Delaware Valley Agricultural Society, or the Townsend School book replacement fund. Envelopes for memorial contributions are available by contacting the funeral home.
