Karin C. Johnson, 48, of Trout Creek, passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening, April 15, 2010 at Delaware Valley Hospital.

Karin was born on January 23, 1962 in Linkenheim, Germany, the daughter of Gunther and Hilde (Hurtz) Lang. On April 1, 1981 she married Harry R.Johnson at the Peekskill United Methodist Church. About 18 years ago Karin and Harry moved to Trout Creek. She was a graduate of Utica School of Commerce with dual degrees in computer science. She was a member of the Trout Creek Community Church and the USC Honor Society. She was employed for many years as a real estate agent.

Karin loved computer work and would often help her friends and neighbors solve issues related to their computers. She also loved working with children and adolescents helping them build their park.

She is survived by her loving family, her husband, Harry, one daughter, Christina Johnson of South New Berlin; two sons: John and Jeremy Johnson both at home; her father, Gunther, a brother, Joachim, both of Linkenheim, Germany; a sister, Beate Bramer, Albany; two grandchildren, Aidain and Ethan, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her mother, Hilde, and a son Nicholas.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Friday evening, April 23, 2010 from 6 to 8 PM at the Trout Creek Community Church where funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 24, 2010, with the Rev. David Gatje officiating. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
