Kathryn Holmes Lupean passed away in Naples, FL, her residence since 1992. She was a member of The Moorings Presbyterian Church where she once served as a Deacon. She volunteered at The Moorings Park Heath Center and at Community Home Services, an affiliate of the Naples Community Hospital.

Mrs. Lupean was born in Downsville, NY. She graduated from the Downsville School and Dana Hall School in Wellesley, MA and Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA. Mrs. Lupean worked toward her Masters in Education at Columbia University and subsequently taught in various school systems in New York State.

Following her marriage to Edward Miller Lupean, the couple lived in Downsville, NY. There she served in various civic organizations and founded The Downsville Women's Club.

She and her husband later moved to Scarsdale, NY and then to Pittsburgh, PA. In Pittsburgh, Mrs. Lupean became a registered principal at the Miller-Holmes Company, an investment advisory firm. She was a member of the Southminster Presbyterian Church of Mount Lebanon. She was also a member of the Mount Lebanon Women's Club, The Twentieth Century Club and the St. Clair Country Club.

Mrs. Lupean is survived by her daughter, Diane Holmes Lupean. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Miller Lupean. She will be lovingly remembered by family and friends.

Burial will take place on Wednesday, May 21st at 11:00 A.M. at Paige Cemetery in Downsville,New York with The Rev. Dale Ashby officiating.
