Kenneth P. Gransbury, Jr., 79, of Walton passed away on Monday morning, January 30, 2017 at home, surrounded by his family.

Ken was born on November 11, 1937 in the town of Delhi, the son of the late Kenneth P. and Catherine Messler Gransbury, Sr. On December 24, 1961 he married the former Aloma LeVoy in Walton, NY. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army from 1961 to 1963.

Ken was a switchman for Citizens Communications in Walton. He was a member of the Full House Hunting Club in Colchester, Men's Golf Association in Delhi, and American Legion Truman C. Tobey Post #32 in Walton. He enjoyed golfing, going for long walks, hunting, fishing, and playing baseball and softball in his younger years.

Ken is survived by his loving family, his wife, Aloma, his children, Tracey (Jason) Rappold of Yaphank, NY; Jodi Gransbury of Yaphank, NY; Cory (Haley) Gransbury of Walton,NY; grandchildren, Kylee (Korey) Madison, Mason, Brandon, Dylan, Jacqlyn, Taylor, great grandchildren, Carter and Hadlee, his close friends of the Full House Hunting Club, and many others; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Peter Paffenroth.

Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday evening, February 2, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where service will be held on Friday morning at 11 AM with Pastor Robert Wilkie, officiating.
