Kenneth C. Metzner, 65, of Downsville, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City.

Ken was born on July 26, 1944 in Oak Park, Illinois, the son of the late Milton and Esther (Nielsen) Metzner. He was employed for many years at Frost Lighting, Queens. He made his home in Downsville since 1995. He was a member of the Club Royale Oasis. He was of the Lutheran Faith.

Ken enjoyed tinkering. He was always very busy fixing things for his friends and neighbors.

Ken is survived by his beloved niece, Michelle (Bob) Wichtendahl, Schaumburg, Illinois, nephews, Eric and Daniel, and several cousins. He was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Joyce Metzner.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton. A graveside service at Paige Cemetery, Downsville, will be held at 2 PM following calling hours with the Rev, Dale Ashby officiating.
