IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Richard
Radick
June 29, 1948 – November 1, 2024
Kenneth Richard Radick, 76, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. Born June 29, 1948, in New York City at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, Ken was the son of John R. Radick and Loraine (Brainard) Radick. He grew up in New York City until the age of six, when his family moved to Bergen County, New Jersey.
Ken graduated from Northern Valley Regional High School in Demarest, NJ, and attended Hope College in Michigan for three years before transferring to Pace University in White Plains, NY, where he completed his degree.
Ken's career began at Lederle Laboratories in Pearl River, NY, where he worked for 22 years in Quality Control, Manufacturing, Production Planning, and International Regulatory Affairs. It was there that he met Lorraine, his beloved wife of 41 years. The couple shared a love of travel, and their honeymoon took them to the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island in Michigan, a memory they cherished throughout their life together.
Ken later became a Certified SAP Consultant at Foxboro Corporation in Foxboro, MA, mastering five SAP modules. His career path led him to Price Waterhouse Coopers, where he and Lorraine traveled extensively, working on SAP implementations in Switzerland, England, California, Houston, and beyond.
In his younger years, Ken enjoyed running and cross-country skiing. Later in life, he took up ballroom and Latin dancing, a passion he shared with Lorraine. He was also an avid reader, immersing himself in history, particularly World War II, and political science.
He was preceded in death by his father, John R. Radick, and mother, Loraine Shonting. Ken is survived by his devoted wife, Lorraine (Gendron) Radick; nephew Joseph Gendron (wife, Laura); niece Natalie Gendron (wife, Carol); nephew Nathan Gendron (wife, Lauren); several great-nephews and nieces, many cousins, and his loving cat, Chloe.
Calling hours will be from 4-6 Pm Saturday November 9, 2024, at Courtney Funeral Home 25 Townsend Street Walton with a graveside service to take place at a later date in Walton Cemetery.
