Keyarah Avasett Conklin,12, of Walton passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Delaware Valley Hospital, Walton.
Keyarah was born on January 21, 1998 in Sidney, the daughter of Matthew C. Conklin and Meranda J. Spry.
Keyarah was a student in the 7th grade at Walton Central School. She played clarinet and drums, was in the Marching Band and Chorus, she played volleyball, soccer, basketball, field hockey, and baseball. Keyarah loved the outdoors. She enjoyed 4-wheeling, driving the Mule, reading, and riding her favorite horse, Shatayna. She was outgoing, fun loving, free spirited, and a nurturing big sister, cousin, daughter, granddaughter, niece, and friend.
Keyarah is survived by her loving family; her father Matthew (Lorie) Conklin, Hancock; her mother, Meranda (Joe Hanrahan) Spry, Walton; brothers: Kevin Conklin, Kaden Conklin, Michael Hanrahan, and stepbrother Garrett Chirico; grandparents, Craig (Heather) Conklin of Deposit; Vickie Crissell of Endicott; Debbie Seymour of Walton; Tina & Brian Hanrahan of Walton; great-grandparents, Vere & Cordia Conklin of Deposit; Barbara & Harold Seymour of Deposit; aunt and uncles, Airelle Spry, Jarred Robinson, Angella Seymour, Vicky Hanrahan, Jeanine & Anthony Palermo, Stacie & Danielle Conklin; special cousin, Shannon Baudendistel; Cousins; Ty & Lo Robinson, Hadassah Stafford & Ibn Abdallah, Nicholas Locke, Andrew & Jayden Palermo.
She was predeceased by her grandfather, David Spry and her great-grandparents, Paul and Doris Stiles.

to call on Thursday evening, November 18, 2010 from 6 to 8 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton; where services will be held Friday afternoon at 1 PM with the Rev. Lisa Ruth Mays, officiating
