Kolby Nye Polomcean,23, of East Meredith died unexpectedly on Wednesday August 13, 2025, the result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Kolby was born in Walton on October 28, 2001.

Kolby was employed as a Maintenance Technician at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals in Hobart, NY.

Kolby was enthusiastic about anything that had a motor and could go fast. This included his side by side, four-wheeler, boat, motorcycle and car. He also enjoyed tinkering with those vehicles when they needed repair and maintenance.

He is survived by his Mother Kristie Rosa-VanDijk (Gerrit-Jan "Dutch" VanDijk) of East Meredith, Father Scott (Kimberly) Polomcean of Milford, half-brother Justin M. (Elizabeth) Polomcean of Deposit, niece and nephew Katherine and Gavin Polomcean of Deposit, Stepsisters Shirley (Christopher)Cobb of Oxford, nephew and niece, Cameron and Madison Cobb, Aleysha VanDijk of Albany, his life partner of 8 years, Elysia Shampine of East Meredith, brother from another mother Jacob Pitcher of East Meredith, Maternal grandmother Barbara Horton of Walton and paternal grandmother Peggy Murphy of Florida, Also, his dogs Milli and Mulan and cat Cream.

Calling hours will be Thursday August 21, 2025, from 5-8 PM at Courtney Funeral Home 25 Townsend Street Walton, NY. A celebration of Kolby's life will take place at 1:00 PM Saturday August 23,2025 at The Roundabout 2331 State Highway 28 South North Franklin, NY.
