Larry T. Palmatier, 63 a long time resident of Walton passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown.

Larry was born on July 12, 1952 the son of Clifford and Susan (Schultes) Palmatier. He was a graduate of Walton Central School, class of 1970.

Larry was a Stock Clerk and Assistant Manager for Great American in Walton, Sidney and Port Jervis. He was a former member of the Trout Creek Fire Department, Antique Engine Club, and Dance Club in Greene, Oneonta, and Sidney.

Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing, tinkering on antiques engines and going to antique shows, going to dances, and taking bus trips whenever he could.

Larry is survived by his loving family, his mother, Susan Palmatier of Bainbridge, NY; his brothers and sisters, Ed Palmatier of Walton, NY; Carolyn Vandermark of Bainbridge, NY; Joyce Stanton of Walton, NY; Barbara Rogers of TN; Charlotte Jones of Walton, NY; James Gordon of Schenectday, NY; Shirley (Chester) Sherman of KY; Ruth McDermott of Bainbridge, NY; Jeannie and Jose Garcia of NJ; Linda Palmatier of Bainbridge, NY; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Clifford Palmatier, his brothers, Clifford Palmatier, Jr. and David Palmatier.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday evening, October 23, 2015 from 6 to 8 PM at Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Masonville Cemetery, Masonville, NY at 2 PM with the Rev. Bert More, officiating.
