Leona A. Fox, 74, of Hamden passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 at home.

Leona was born February 12, 1943 in Hackensack, NJ daughter of the late Leonard and Georgianna (Banicki) Coyman. On November 11, 1961 she married Ronald Fox in Ridgefield Park in New Jersey. He predeceased her on December 18, 2008.

Leona was a Special Education Teacher at the Englewood City School. She was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran church in Hackensack, NJ where she was a member of the prayer association.

Leona enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting prayer shawls, blankets, and hats.

Leona is survived by her loving family, children, Ronald (Isabel) Fox of Ringwood, NJ; Scott Fox of Hamden; Gail (Gerard) Prince of Crystal Lake, IL; grandchildren, Ashley, Jason, and Erin; brother, Leonard (Ellen) Coyman of River Edge, NJ; special niece and nephew, Mallory and Brian.

Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 11AM to 1PM at Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where services will be held at 1PM with Rev. James Crouthamel, officiating.
