Obituary

Leonard I. Closs, 59 of Walton, passed away suddenly Wednesday (3/03) in the Delaware Valley Hospital Walton, after being stricken.

.

Lennie was born in Walton, the son of the late George and Evellyn Bailey Closs. On June 5, 1965 he married the former Patricia Barnhart at Walton.

He was employed for many years as a Truck Driver, by Downsville Stone Co. MSR Lennie loved to work with stone, drive his truck, western movies and dress, and going to Turning Stone to play Bingo.

He is survived by his wife: Patricia ,at home; four daughters: Deniece A. and Scott Jacobs of Pine Bush; Loretta L. and Randy Stone of Walton; Tonia S. and Charles Boecke of Walton; Sonia M. and Steven Armstrong of Walton;one step son, Timothy Bowker of Walton; five brothers: Raymond Closs of California; William Closs of Chicago, IL; Arthur Closs of Montana; Randy Closs of Whitney Point; Wayne Closs of Sidney, NY; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Barnhart; brother-in-law, Randi Barnhart; 8 Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Dawn Closs in 1994, and a sister Zerola Camfield.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street Walton, where services will be held Saturday March 6, 2004 at 3:00 PM with Stephen Blews, Pastor of Riverside Alliance Church, Walton officiating.
