Lillian T. LeVoy, 87 a lifelong resident of Walton, passed away Friday morning, April 15, 2011 at Countryside Care Center, following a long illness.

Lillian was born on May 20, 1923 in Afton the daughter of the late Alfred and Alma (Wortman) Thompson. She was a graduate of Walton High School, class of 1941. On July 4, 1946 she married Charles E "Chuck" LeVoy in Carthage. Chuck died in 1986. Lillian was employed at Bendix Aviation for 35 years and then went to work at Chris' Flowers for 19 years. She was a faithfull member of the Walton First United Methodist Church and for many years volunteered to provide transportation for people needing a ride to church functions. Lillian enjoyed both flower and vegetable gardening and loved spending time with her family.

Lillian is survived by one daughter: Aloma (Ken) Gransbury of Walton, a son, John LeVoy, Coco, Florida; grandchildren, Tracy (Jason) Rappold, Jodi Gransbury, Cory (Haley) Gransbury, Shane (Melissa) LeVoy, great-grandchildren, Kylee, Brandon, Dylan, Madison, Jacqlyn, Mason, Tiffani, Kacie, Garret and Austin, a sister, Helen Stanton, Sidney; her very special "other daughters", Barb Daniels and Marilyn Lewis and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Lillian was one of 11.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton where services will be held at 1 PM with the Rev. Mark Del Giudice officiating. Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery.
