You could hardly go anyplace in Walton without someone saying hello to Mrs. Hoffman.
Linda was a devout Christian, she spent her mornings reading the bible and doing her daily devotional, as well as praying for the needs of those around her. She and Jon were committed members of the First Baptist Church of Walton, for over 30 years. Over that time she served as a Deacon, a list maker of prayer requests, member of women's fellowship, as well as helping out anywhere there was a need.
Linda could be found at the Walton Pool in the summertime, where she enjoyed the warmth of the sun in the company of many friends, her sons and in later years her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking for family and friends, gardening, and directing her husband Jon in honey do projects. She also loved walks around town with her husband and friends at a pace that was quite brisk to say the least, all while chatting and enjoying the company of those with her.
Linda was a lifelong friend to so many, her door was always open and often friends could be found enjoying coffee and conversation in the living room or around her dining table. She never missed sending a kind word for the important events in the lives of her family and friends. She was a devoted wife to Jon and they did most everything together as a team, even if her husband didn't want to. They simply loved each other's company and this year would have marked their 42nd wedding anniversary.
