Linda Elaine Stoltz (Daniels, Foster, Hafele, Smith, Johnson), 80, of Walton, New York, passed away on August 23, 2026. She was born on May 19, 1946, to Frank and Dorothy (Kelsey) Daniels and spent most of her life in Walton, a community she called home for many years.
Linda was a bubbly, warm-hearted woman whose personality could brighten a room. She will especially be remembered for her wonderful laugh, one of those laughs that was unmistakably hers and brought happiness to the people around her. Above all else, Linda loved her family deeply. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were an incredibly important part of her life, and the love she had for them will continue to live on through each of them.
Linda was also a devoted and active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her faith was an important part of her life and remained a source of community and connection throughout the years. She worked as a CNA for many years, lastly Countryside Care Center now known as Delhi Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Linda is survived by her husband, Burl Stoltz, her children, Cassandra Foster-Hillis and her husband, Christopher Hillis Sr., and Richard Foster, Jr; her grandchildren, Rachel, Maia, Christopher Jr., Bryan, and Garrett; and her great-grandchildren, Zoey and Grayson. She is also survived by sister-in-law Dorothy (Dottie) Daniels of Walton, NY and survived by many nieces, nephews and many special friends she loved dearly also many grandanimals.
She was predeceased by her son, Edward Foster; her granddaughter, Kaelyn Foster; and her brothers, Dean Daniels and Lyle Daniels and her infant son at birth in 1971 and her sister in-law Barbara Daniels of Walton, NY.
Linda leaves behind a family who loved her dearly and countless memories that will be treasured for years to come. Her bubbly spirit, unforgettable laugh, and the love she gave so freely to her family will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Calling Hours for Linda will be held Monday August 31, 2026, 10am-12pm with service at 12pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 33-27 Delview Terrace Ext Delhi, NY 13753. Burial will be held privately at the Walton Cemetery located at 55 Fancher Ave, Walton, NY.
Her laughter may be quiet now, but the love and happiness behind it will remain in the hearts of her family forever. Memorial contributions can be at the Heart of the Catskills or organization of choice.
