Linda S. Tines, 76, a long time resident of Walton, passed away Friday evening, October 23, 2015 at Catskill Regional Medical Center of Harris, following a short illness.
Linda was born on July 5, 1939 in Walton, the daughter of the late Sheldon and Florence (Borden) Jones. She married the love of her life, Peter Tines, who predeceased her approximately 16 years ago. Linda attended Walton School and worked many years ago at Breakstones. She was a faithful member of the Riverside Alliance Church. Linda loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grand kids. Family was what she was all about. Linda loved flowers and she also looked forward to her daily road trips with her brother, Richard Jones, to go have coffee everyday at McDonald's and run errands.
Linda is survived by her loving family, her daughter, Vicky and Thomas Conklin, Walton; sons, Michael and Pamela Goodrich, Batavia; Patrick and Daniel Goodrich, both of Walton; step-children, Stephen Tines, Cherry Valley; and Robert Tines, Richfield Springs; grandchildren, Damon and Darlene Conklin, Tammy and Timothy Gladstone, Matthew, Erik, Julia, Alec, Riley, Jessica, Kaleb, Jessica and Sheldon; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Joshua, Robert, Alivia, Abigail, Joshua Lee; brother, Richard Jones, Stamford; sisters, Elizabeth Sulger, Walton and Frances Segarra, Walton, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 11 AM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, with Pastor James Spain, officiating. Burial will take place in Walton Cemetery privately at the convenience of the family.
