Lori Sue Tietjen Barnes, 50, of Walton, passed away at home, unexpectedly, on Saturday, November 11, 2017 after a long illness.

Lori was born on February 5, 1967 in Walton, the daughter of Harry and Susan (Rosa) Tietjen. She was a graduate of Walton Central School, Class of 1985. She was a hairdresser by trade.

On February 5, 2009 she married Paul Barnes. He passed away, unexpectedly, on January 21, 2017 in Susquehanna, PA.

Lori will be remembered as a person always concerned for her family and friends. She took great pride in decorating her home for the holidays, making it a warm and friendly place for friends and family to visit. She also enjoyed drawing and painting.

Lori is survived by her children, Erik DeLay, Jacksonville, FL; Hannah Schriber (Wm. Donofrio), Corbett; grandchildren, Greyson DeLay and Xander Donofrio; brother, Anthony Behr, Jacksonville, FL; mother, Susan Rosa Maines, Jacksonville, FL; sister, Dana Tietjen Rice (Mike Moore), Walton; close and special friends, Danton Schriber, Danielle Cetta and Debbie Condon, all of Walton, in addition to several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lori was predeceased by her Father, Harry Tietjen, on September 24, 2015, and her son, Gabriel Sikorski, on June 15, 2017.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 12 noon to 1 PM at the New Beginnings Alliance Church, Stockton Ave., Walton where services will be held at 1 PM with Pastor Don Crossman, officiating. Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery.
