Louis Farkas, 67, a resident of Walton since 2000, formerly of Yonkers, NY passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Fox Hospital in Oneonta, NY.

Louis was born on October 23, 1944 in Sollos Gyordk, Hungary, the son of the late Jozsef and Maria (David) Farkas. On December 30, 1996 he married the former Anna Borcsok in Yonkers, NY.

Louis was an electrician for many years for Benfield Power Systems in White Plains, NY. He enjoyed fishing and working on his property, doing inside chores as well as the maintenance on the outside.

Louis is survived by his loving wife, Anna; his children, Laszlo Farkas and Giselle Wilson both of New Rochelle; his step-children, Benny Borcsok and Elizabeth Baran; his 3 grandchildren; his brother, Laszlo Farkas; and his sisters, Margaret and Helen.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 11 AM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton with the Rev. Lisa Ruth Mays officiating.
