Obituary

Madelyn Mary Carney passed away June 8, 2005 at the loving home of her nephew, and his wife, Joe and Jonelle Doyle and their daughters, Jade and Justine.

Aunt Maggie was born in Pennsylvania on July 6, 1905. She grew up in Pana, IL with 8 brothers and sisters. As a young woman she moved to Chicago where she met and married her beloved Irishman, Martin J. Carney. He died on May 18, 1983. She then made her home with her sisters, Helena Feierabendand and Adele Doyle. Since their passing, she has graced the Doyle household with her love and laughter. She will be greatly missed by by everyone who knew her, especially her adoring neices and nephews; John and Sue Walsh, Ed Walsh, Mary and Steve Werning, Karen and Roger Konwal, Joan Sobeleski, Mike Doyle, and Shiela Samuels, Tim and Clare Doyle, Mary and Al MacGibbon, and Joe and Jonelle Doyle and their families.

Madelyn was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church.

A mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Father Ryan at St. John's on Friday June 10, 2005 at 2:30 PM. Burial will be in Walton Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Madelyn's memory may be made to St. John the Baptist Church. Envelopes for memorial contributions are available by contacting the funeral home.
