Margaret May Hughs, 83, of Walton passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at home.

Margaret was born July 24, 1934 in Hancock, NY the daughter of the late Sherman McKinley and Flora (Inman) Hughs.

Margaret enjoyed picking out magazines of her choice and holding and reading them throughout the day. She would point out different things from the magazine and show staff. She had a few friends at the Boyer Road IRA that she just adored and showed her sense of humor from time to time. Margaret loved to look pretty and enjoyed nice smelling lotions on her hands and would then tell people how pretty she smelled. Margaret often sat with staff and chatted about the sunshine and birds outside. We were all very fortunate to have known Margaret and blessed to have loved her.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 11AM at Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton with Deacon Bill Wright, officiating. Burial will follow in the East Branch Cemetery, East Branch.
