Margaret K. Stumpf Phd., 86, of Downsville passed away early Thursday morning, March 7, 2013 at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, following a long illness.

Margaret was born December 5, 1926 in New Haven, Connecticut the daughter of the late George and Margaret Stumpf.

Margaret was a nun for Mary Knoll in Westchester County for many years. She was a member of the Holy Family Church in Downsville, New York. In her spare time she enjoyed playing the piano and spending time in her lovely home.

Margaret is survived by her dear friend, Grace Machado and Chris and Stephanie Machado.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, March 11, 2013 at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Maple Avenue, Downsville, NY with Rev. Edward J Golding officiating. Burial will be in Paige Cemetery, Downsville on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 1PM.
