Margaret M. Tippmann, 88, of Franklin, passed away Sunday evening, September 27, 2015 at her niece's and nephew's home surrounded by her loving family.
Margie was born in Flatbush Brooklyn, NY on February 20, 1927 the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Zeuli) Gatto. She was employed by American Express in NYC for many, many, years.
Margie will be remembered by her kind soul, sweet smile, her pride in being the "oldest," her challenge with hearing and her never ending love for her animals and her family.
Margie is survived by her loving family; her sister, Dotty Gatto, Franklin; her nieces and nephews, Jimmy and Linda Passarella, Ronkonkoma; Charlie and Karen Passarella, Smithtown; Tom and Sandy Harrington, Walton; Maria and Gregg Kujawski, Franklin; Kathy and Steve Smith, Franklin; Donna and Steven Cox, Franklin; Peggy and Walter Peterson, Franklin; her great nephews and nieces; Michael, Aimee, Melissa, Alex, Christina, Jessica, Jimmy, Charlie, Alyssa, Anthony, Amy, Wes, Gina, Michael, Jaclyn, Michael, Steven,Jr.,Joseph, Steven, Lacey, Matthew, Michael, Irene, Terry, and Timmy; her great great nieces and nephews; Bela, McCartney, Andrew, Jackson, Nolan, David, Judd, Zander, Myla and Noah; her animals which were like her children, Lone Lone, Angel, Pretty Boy, Black Beauty and Pretty Girl. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Tippmann; her younger sisters, Kathryn Gatto and Irene Passarella; her brother in law; Charles Passarella, her aunt and uncle, Rocco and Barbara Zeuli, her uncle, Leo Zeuli, her nephews, Michael and Johnny Passarella; and her niece, Terry Harrington.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday evening, September 29, 2015 from 6PM to 8PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton.
A Mass of the Christian burial will be held on Wednesday morning at 11:00AM at St. John's the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 25 Benton Avenue, Walton with the Rev. Edward J. Golding, Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Walton Cemetery, 55 Fancher Avenue, Walton.
