Marie H. Card, 93, passed away on December 5, 2024, at Mountainside Residential Care Center in Margaretville, NY.

Marie was born on July 19, 1931, in Livingston Manor, NY to her parents Arthur Holtsander and Irene Roser. Marie married Everett D. Card in Shandalee on October 30, 1948, he passed in January 1999.

Marie worked for many years as a machine operator for Keith Clark in Sidney, NY. She also worked as Post Mistress in Cannonsville, NY; and worked for Murrays Dress Factory Deposit, NY. Marie was a proud member of the Grange, Marie also devoted her time and energy to the Walton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, the American Legion, and the VFW Auxiliary, where she served from 1950 in Sidney, NY. Her commitment to these organizations exemplified her character, always ready to lend a helping hand and uplift those around her.

Marie's warm spirit and unwavering determination had a profound impact on many lives. Friends and family will remember her not only for her involvement in community service but also for her genuine kindness and the love she shared unconditionally.

Marie is survived by her loving family, her children; Helen Plant of Stamford, NY and Gary (Tracy) Card, of Corbett, NY. Grandchildren; Becky Allen, Wendy Young (Tommy Todd), Jeremy (Elizabeth) Young, Madison Card, Hailey Card and Nicole Odell, her sister Irene Sprague of Trout Creek, NY., and several nieces, nephews, cousins and several great-grandchildren.

Marie is preceded in death by her daughter Susan Saucier, great-grandson Justin All, and her two brothers Arthur Jr, and Edgar.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 11, 2024, from 4pm-6pm at the Courtney Funeral Home located at 25 Townsend Street, Walton, NY 13856.

The service for Marie Card will be held on Wednesday December 11, 2024, at 6PM with Pastor Christine Lindeburg officiating located at the Courtney Funeral Home.

Burial will be held in the spring 2025, at the Walton Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations can be made in Marie's name to one's choice.
