Pastor Marjorie Anne Darville, 74, of Walton went Home to the Lord on Friday, September 7, 2012.

"Marge" was born on January 30, 1938 in Ossining, NY; the daughter of the late Charles and Charlotte [Black] Williams. On December 21, 1957, she married Kirkwood M. Darville, her college sweetheart, at the Assemblies of God Church in Ossining, NY.

Marge had a lifelong passion and talent for ministry. At the time of her death, she was the associate pastor of the Assemblies of God, Walton, a position in which she teamed with her husband for over 46 years. Perhaps she is best known locally as the WDLA Devotions coordinator, which she led for 42 years. She was also active in the Delaware County Christian Ministries and the Delaware County Fair Ministry. Marge also operated a Christian bookseller, Manna Bookstore, from the late 1960's until the early 1990's.

Marge was a natural musician who enjoyed playing the piano, organ, xylophone, and accordion, all of which she taught herself.

Marge is survived by her loving family: her husband, Kirk; two daughters and husbands: Cynthia (Mark) Tatum of Colorado Springs, CO, Valarie (Scott) Morris of Sicily, Italy; three sons and wives: Timothy Darville of Norwich, Nathaniel Darville and Rheagan Alexander of Brooklyn, NY, Keegan Darville of Walton; daughter-in-law, Molly Darville of Walton; niece, Grace Westlund of California, and a nephew, David Williams of Arizona. She was predeceased by a son, Christopher D.W. Darville, in 2008.

Friends and relatives are invited to call at the Assembly of God, Franklin Rd., Walton on September 12, 2012, Wednesday,afternoon from 4 to 7 PM. Services will also be held at the church on Thursday morning, September 13, 2012 at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery. Arrangements are with Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
